Venture Cup Sweden Welcomes Mehkar Sheikh as the new CEO

Venture Cup Sweden is pleased to announce Mehkar Sheikh as its new Chief Executive Officer, starting 1st March 2024.

Mehkar succeeds the former CEO Therese Olsson and plans to further strengthen Venture Cup’s position in the Swedish startup ecosystem both at the national level as well as in the regions. She comes in with extensive experience of building startup, mentor, and partner communities for global startup ecosystems - an experience base which will be pivotal in the organisation's next growth phase.

"The Board welcomes Mehkar Sheikh as the new CEO for Venture Cup Sweden. Mehkar has worked within the organisation as Regional Manager and has consistently delivered strong results. She also brings in the experience of building accelerators and startup ecosystem organisations. Her experience and energy will be a key to building the next phase of Venture Cup Sweden," commented Johan Löf, Chairman of the Board for Venture Cup Sweden.
