Venture Cup Welcomes New CEO
Stockholm, 7 November 2025 – Venture Cup Sweden today announces the appointment of Jennie Kvintåhs as CEO, effective 1 December 2025.
Jennie Kvintåhs brings extensive experience in entrepreneurship, community building, and leadership. She has been a key driver behind several national initiatives supporting innovation and inclusion within the Swedish startup ecosystem, including bringing Female Entrepreneurship Day to Sweden.
“Stepping into the role as CEO of Venture Cup feels both an honor and an inspiration. I see a great opportunity to refine an already strong brand and further develop Venture Cup into the leading meeting place for the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. My vision is to build bridges between academia, industry, and changemakers – where ideas grow, networks flourish, and innovation creates real societal impact. I want to strengthen Venture Cup as a platform for inclusion, courage, and entrepreneurial drive – where more people dare to believe in their ideas and see entrepreneurship as a force for change,” says Jennie Kvintåhs.
Jennie succeeds Mehkar Sheikh, who moves on to pursue new ventures. During her tenure, Mehkar strengthened Venture Cup’s national visibility, deepened its partnerships with universities and industry, and led several transformative initiatives that positioned the organization as a key player in promoting entrepreneurship across Sweden.
“It has been an extraordinary privilege to lead Venture Cup in empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. Our mission has always been bigger than competition – it’s about building the mindset and ecosystem that enable ideas to become impact. As I now take the next step in my journey, I remain deeply proud of what we’ve achieved together and confident that Jennie will take Venture Cup into an even more exciting future,” says Mehkar Sheikh.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mehkar for her invaluable contributions to Venture Cup Sweden. Her leadership has strengthened our mission to promote entrepreneurship for all. At the same time, we warmly welcome Jennie as our new CEO – a passionate advocate who, among other achievements, brought Female Entrepreneurship Day to Sweden. We look forward to the journey ahead under her leadership,” says Pernilla Johnsson, Chair of the Board, Venture Cup Sweden.
