HELA: The winner of "Flemingsberg Science Award" 2022 in the east region

HELA's app increases adherence to cardiac rehab programs by making their health development visible to them during the program. Their mission is to offer everyone a chance to spend more time with their families. At Venture Cup's regional final in the east region, HELA won "Flemingsberg Science Award" and 10 000 SEK.

Today, the lack of engagement to cardiac rehabilitation programs is the main problem. Only 14% join CR programs after a heart attack, 31% receive CR after bypass surgery. The past 4 decades, CR dropout rates have ranged from 25-50% and proximity to CR facility, higher income and higher education are key predictors of participation rate.

- "The value of our app lies in patient centric digital solutions with a range of health insights based on psychological and physical assessments, vital parameters and other health indicators. Raw data which only used to make sense for clinicians are now illustrated in easy to understand graphs for patients." Says Asmen, CEO.

HELA's goal is the become the leading technology provider for cardiac providers which are great at what they do, but need help on the technological front to really scale and elevate their treatments.

With an ambitious drive and a good mix of skills, this year's winner of the Flemingsberg Science Award works to increase the individual's physical and mental health in connection with rehabilitation after a heart attack. With the help of patient data, AI, integration with smartphones, the individual's own goals and progress, an automated treatment plan is created that gives the patient full control over their health. With flexible solutions and scalability, the vision is to become a global technology supplier.

Cellfion: Vinnare av Beyond Academic och Impact Maker i region öst 2022

Cellfion tillverkar och kommersialiserar nanocellulosamembran för elektrokemisk energilagring och omvandlingsanordningar och vill ta ett viktigt steg mot en mer hållbar framtid. Bolaget prisades för sin affärsidé på Venture Cups regionfinal i region öst 2022 då de vann inte bara en, utan två priser, nämligen Beyond Academic och Impact Maker.
